Our Growing Team
To start — we’ve hired! We met lots of great candidates at Communitech’s Tech Jam and many candidates who found us through other means. Adding new team members almost monthly, we’ve grown our Sales, Support and Engineering teams! It takes a great team to support tour and activity operators throughout the world with their photos and videos!
Travel Tech Meet Up
Another exciting addition to our PicThrive life is our Travel Tech Meetup. This meetup is for all travel tech companies in KW. We recognized that there are a ton of travel tech companies in the KW area and we want to meet them … and what’s better for meeting new people than pizza and beer?! On the last Thursday of every month, we hold a Meetup at our offices. We’ve met lots of interesting people so far and the Meetups are only getting stronger.

Conferences
In February our team traveled to Dallas and Denver for three different conferences all within the same week. It was a whirlwind, but true to PicThrive spirit we all pulled together and had a great week meeting with new customers and our partners at FareHarbor.
Team Bonding
Despite the fact that we’re focused on success and our days are sometimes long as we drive results, our growing team always takes time from for some team bonding. We’ve been axe throwing, lost miserably at Trivia Night (more than once), played board games, went bowling and have gone to see the Kitchener Rangers hockey team kick some butt!

Earth Day
And, as a company who cares about the environment, we arranged an Earth Day Cleanup. As a team, we picked up 4 bags of garbage from Victoria Park (Kitchener, ON) and celebrated Earth Day by enjoying the great weather while making a difference in our local area!

Travel
On top of all this, I personally had the opportunity to visit one of our customers while on a trip to Mexico! I had a once in a lifetime experience as I snorkeled through a cenote, checking out the stalagmites and stalactites in waters where fish are blind because, in the dark waters, there is no need for eyes, (we got to check things out by using high powered underwater flashlights attached to our wrist!).
in Conclusion
PicThrive is definitely one of the most interesting places I’ve ever worked! Between the team building fun and everything else we have going on, we are a team that makes things happen! I’m looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring for our PicThrive family! Stay tuned!
